Land Acknowledgement

We, the Members of the Eta Rho Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma, acknowledge that the land our chapter sits on is the present and ancestral home of the yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini Northern Chumash tribe. We are uninvited settlers on this stolen land and acknowledge our complicity in the colonialism of the Indigenous people of the San Luis Obispo area. We honor the resilience of the yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini Northern Chumash people through genocide and forced removal and intend to continuously reflect on our relationship with the land and its rich past, present and future.
