New Member Program

The whirlwind of going through Recruitment, being extended a bid and then joining Kappa for life can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Kappa gives our new sisters a warm welcome by extending friendship and mutual support through our new member program.

The new member period is a time to learn about the Fraternity and educate women on the expectations and requirements of being a Kappa. Each new member is given a Big Sister to guide her through this new stage of her life. New members also attend a retreat to foster and develop the new friendships and connections within the chapter.

At Kappa Kappa Gamma, we pride ourselves on turning that initial excitement into a lifelong bond. Our new member program is designed to provide a warm welcome, extending friendship and mutual support from day one.

What to Expect
The new member period is a dedicated time to learn about our Fraternity’s history and understand the expectations of being a Kappa. To ensure no one navigates this transition alone, we focus on:
big sister mentorship, weekly connections, and regular meetings to help foster deep, lasting friendships within the new member class.

New Member Retreat

Special events like the New Member Retreat allow sisters to step away from the stress of college life and develop genuine connections with other new members. In addition to the new member retreat, there are also bi-monthly all-chapter sisterhood events such as bouquet making, claw clip decorating, tote bag painting, pasta making, ceramics, and so much more!

Finding Your "Forever Home"
College can feel like a large and overwhelming environment, but Kappa provides a sense of home within it. Our goal is to ensure every new member feels the same love, support, and friendship that has defined our experience. We look forward to guiding you through this process and providing a safe, friendly introduction to our amazing chapter.
